Staying at the Sands of Islamorada was quite a nostalgic experience for me and my family. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable, which made our stay enjoyable. Our recent stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were quite clean and had a charming ambiance, but the experience was overshadowed by the intrusive management that made us feel uneasy. While the hotel is in a lovely spot, right on the ocean, the presence of rats around the bird cage was off-putting. Overall, it’s an okay option, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re hoping for a relaxed atmosphere.
