Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the Sands of Islamorada was quite a nostalgic experience for me and my family. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable, which made our stay enjoyable. However, the service left something to be desired, especially when it came to accommodating requests, and the price felt higher than the overall experience warranted. Despite these downsides, the pet-friendly aspect is great for those traveling with furry friends.
Our recent stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were quite clean and had a charming ambiance, but the experience was overshadowed by the intrusive management that made us feel uneasy. While the hotel is in a lovely spot, right on the ocean, the presence of rats around the bird cage was off-putting. Overall, it’s an okay option, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re hoping for a relaxed atmosphere.
My stay at Sands of Islamorada was quite basic but met my needs as I was there primarily for diving. The rooms were neat and equipped with the essentials, making them perfectly adequate for my stay. However, the late check-out fee felt unnecessary, leaving a slightly sour impression. If you have pets, this place might suit you, but for anyone else, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a better value.
